Trans-Siberian Autoflower Grow Journal

Trans-Siberian Autoflower Grow Journal

Named after the Trans-Siberian Railway, the Trans-Siberian cannabis has become popular for being one of the fastest strains to grow on the market. It’s a hybrid cannabis with genetics from the White Russian and Auto #1.

As one of the shorter marijuana strains, the Trans-Siberian cannabis reaches only a height of 1 foot to 2.5 feet with short, pale green leaves while the buds are covered in a layer of white crystals with orange hairs. Underneath its relatively minuscule appearance, the Trans-Siberian is one of the powerful strains with a high THC content.

This powerful strain gives a heavy body buzz with a euphoric high and in high doses, can give light hallucinogenic effects. These effects makes it a good strain to alleviate lack of sleep and poor appetite. It also has a flavor similar to hash with a strong, skunky aftertaste.

When grown indoors, the Trans-Siberian is a fast grower, moving from germination to harvest in as little as 2 to 2.5 months. They’re also quite hardy, capable of growing outdoors even in cooler climates as long as they receive plenty of sunlight.

Novice growers would do well to choose Trans-Siberian autoflowers for some of their first grows because it’s easy to cultivate. This grow journal follows the Trans-Siberian autoflower strain from seed to harvest.

December 22nd

This grow started out with the following supplies:

  • Medium – Pro Mix
  • Lights – 300w Mars Hydro LED
  • Nutrients – Advanced Nutrients line of nutes (Grow, Micro, Bloom, B52, Big Bud, Overdrive)
  • Pot – 5-gallon buckets

Here are a few photos from seed to 3 weeks old. You can see the first three weeks were uneventful and the plant was entirely focused on just growing different sets of leaves.

LST was started around the second week and last night, she underwent even more training. She was able to tolerate the procedure pretty well.

Here’s a photo of the air filter set up inside the grow tent. So far, it’s doing its job of keeping the grow tent well ventilated.

December 27th

She’s 27 days old today and she’s been bushing up. She’s almost ready to kick her big sis (from a separate grow) out of the grow tent so she can have the room all to herself.

December 29th

She’s 29 days old today and she was rotated and positioned in such a way to receive the full beam of the LED since yesterday. She’s clearly loving the added light and she started drinking more.

On her 37th day, she was pushed harder with more nutrients: 2.5mL per L of base nutes and 2L of water. Let’s see how well she can tolerate this new feeding mix. Hopefully, she won’t show any signs of nute burn.

She’s in heavy pre-flower and looks like she’s just about to stretch. She’s currently 6 weeks old with receiving 3mL per L of base nutes with a total of 2L per day.

Day 44 marks her big stretch and it looks like she’s going to have a lot of fat colas! This will also be her last night in her small closet because a bitter tent will arrive tomorrow.

Not much to see today other than this little lady in her new home. As you can see, there’s more than enough room in the tent!

This grow is too easy. As the first Trans-Siberian strain is switched over to flower nutes, two new seeds were planted into the ground!

January 18th

She’s 7 weeks old and on the 3rd day of receiving flower nutes. She’s definitely gotten used to the new schedule as she’s packing on more weight and the amount of resin she’s producing is just silly.

The elder Trans-Siberian’s buds have gotten pretty dense and are swelling nicely. She probably only has 20+ days to go.
