Hemp (a non-psychoactive strain of cannabis) can have many different cannabinoids and terpenes in it that can be beneficial to our health. If products contain these different elements, they are known to be full spectrum products. These full spectrum products help provide an entourage effect. The entourage effect occurs because of the cannabinoids and terpenes fueling our an endocannabinoid system, which every mammal has. So, what are the major cannabinoids in out That’s Natural hemp?

CBD

Cannabidiol (CBD) is the most studied cannabinoid within hemp, and hundreds of stories have emerged about it helping with dozens of different conditions. CBD is filled with anti-inflammatory properties, and that is probably what it is most widely known for. However, there have been thousands of studies showing that it can help with diabetes, anxiety, acne, addiction, crohn’s disease, and epilepsy as well.

CBDA

Cannabidiolic Acid (CBDA) is really known to help two major conditions: inflammation and tumors. This study by Fundamental Toxicological Sciences discusses how CBDA slowed down the migration of human breast cancer cells. However, it also down-regulated the expression of matrix metalloproteinase-9, the transforming growth factor inducible gene H3, and the parathyroid hormone-related protein significantly. These molecules were involved with the bone metastasis of breast cancer cells. Because CBDA becomes CBD when heated because of a process known as decarboxylation.

CBN

Cannabinol (CBN) is yet another cannabinoid that many people have seen benefits from. Its primary use is for insomnia. CBN has become known as the primary sedative in cannabis. This study by the National Institutes of Health goes into more detail about why and how CBN can sometimes be used to help people sleep.

CBG

Cannabigerol (CBG) is a cannabinoid often credited with being used for bacterial infections. According to this study, CBG showed potent activity against a variety of methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Activity was “remarkably tolerant to the nature of the prenyl moiety, to its relative position compared to the n-pentyl moiety (abnormal cannabinoids), and to carboxylation of the resorcinyl moiety (pre-cannabinoids).

CBC

Cannabichromene (CBC) is being for several issues including: anxiety, stress, inflammation, viruses and tumors. However, two of the most studied areas of CBC are pain and brain growth. This study by the National Institutes of Health states that, “CBD and CBC stimulated descending pathways of antinociception and caused analgesia by interacting with several target proteins involved in nociceptive control. These compounds might represent useful therapeutic agents with multiple mechanisms of action.” Meanwhile, this study suggests that CBC can actually encourage encourage neurogenesis. Neurogenesis is the process known to continuously create cells that are responsible for memory and learning.
