The Ebb and Flow Aeroponics is an automated system which should help your cannabis grow successfully by giving you full control of watering and feeding schedules. Check out this grow journal to find out if an Ebb and Flow Aeroponics system will work well for cultivating marijuana.

This grow will be running two 5-gallon smart pots in each side with 6-inch Rockwool cubes filled with hydroton as media. Each side has a 21g 3ft. x 2ft. flood tray with a Botanicare flood/drain kit on each. Nutes will be pumped from each reservoir, respectively of their weekly schedule for a few minutes for 4 to 6 times per day.
Equipment:
Clone King Aeroponic – Seeds will be left here for around 10 days after sprouting and planted in General Hydroponics starter plugs.
Platinum 60 Series with 6-inch Rockwool Cube – GH plugs are planted into cubes and roots are gently placed into the bottom of the pre-drilled hole in the Rockwool.
Grow Tubs – Rockwool cubes will be planted into 5-gallon aero pots and then filled with hydroton. The pots will then sit on an egg crate to keep them from stagnating.

Finally got things up and running. Pumps are a little overkill but at least they are getting the job done. Water level is filled above the overflow in about 30 seconds. These poor ladies didn’t get a lot of attention and were burnt pretty badly after being left alone for a couple of weeks.

Here are the Blueberries 30 seconds after the lights were turned on. You can still see the small signs of burn on them. Hopefully, this set up will turn them around.

The two Blueberries are looking so good and my schedule was off by a week so they were put on nutes a week too early. Unfortunately, this seems to have backfired. The reservoir water will be replaced with just water and hope they heal.
If not, 3 more seeds were planted in the Clone King, 2 AK-47, and 1 Amnesia Haze. This clone King is legit though. A great bargain and works perfectly. Rapid rooters are doing well too.

The dead parts were trimmed off the Blueberries and had them on plain water for the past few days. The Sweet Tooth was moved into a cube. One of the seeds, the AK-47, feel down into the basket so it’s pretty stringy-looking due to lack of light. Good thing it was seen pretty early.

The seedlings have been on plain reverse osmosis water. Here they are at 15 days old.
And these ladies are 10 days old.

It seems like the medium flood/drain set up isn’t going to come in so it was best to improvise. One of the heavy duty totes from Home Depot and one of the smaller concrete mixing trays will be used for this new setup.
The lid was removed and set the tub recessing into the tank to give more clearance. The whole thing fit perfectly. These are 10g mixing pans instead of 21g. It shouldn’t be too difficult and will save a few bucks as long as everything fits right.
On another note, the two AK-47 plants were transferred from the cloner to the 6-inch cubes. With the General Hydroponics plugs, all you have to do is keep the reservoir full to the line and leave them alone for 10 days. Although the General Hydroponics plugs are a bit smaller than most Rockwool cubes, you may want to poke a few clay pellets in the sides to prevent any light from getting to the water.

The drains are in and everything is hooked up! Turned timers to once per day, flood for 1 minute. Also used some Rockwool covers to prevent algae. Tonight is 3 days after a lot of defoliation. I’m trying to get them to branch out before I start LST.
Also, the CFL bars will be shortened and moved. A spotlight or two will be added on the front side so it’s easier to get to the plants.
