Ntmaremach’s Second THC Snow in an Ebb-and-Flow System:
An ebb and flow system literally means the tide (or flood) and drain system of marijuana growing. At certain times a day, for a couple of minutes, the system rushes in nutrients for the plants to absorb before draining to give them time to breathe as well. Most amateur growers do not prefer this type of system as it can get too complicated. Ensuring that the nutrient mix is just right, the water stays filled, etc.
However, for Ntmaremach’s second THC Snow, he wanted to see which one works better, soil or this ebb and flow system. During the first round, he used soil to cultivate the plant and the results pleased him. Will it prove to have sweeter yields the second time around?
As White as Snow: THC Snow Strain
This legendary strain comes from a legendary lineage: White Russian and Big Buds. While it resulted to a high yielding plant, what amazed other growers is its exceptional THC level. So, it is safe to say that this strain is aptly named.
A quick smoke of a bud from this plant gives a lemon fuel type of smell that transcends to a smooth smoke. Then, being am Indica-dominant strain, it delivers both cerebral and physical qualities that have sedative effects. That is why this strain is perfect for evening relaxation.

Vegetation Phase
2018-01-16
This is not the first time that Ntmaremach attempts to grow THC Snow plants. The first round, everyone who got a whiff of the buds seem to enjoy the smoke, so he decided to give it another go. This time, an ebb and flow system with 5-gallon pots would be the plants’ home. It would run on feeding five times a day for 30 minutes on an 18-hour schedule.
As for the lights, two 4-feet 8-bulb Agrobrite High Output Fluorescent T5 Grow Lights sit about 4 feet above the plants. Here they are two days ago:
Today, on their 8th day of vegetation, Late Growth schedule form General Hydroponics Flora Series replaces their usual Early Growth nutrients. Ntmaremach added the feeds into 30 gallons of water which would wash through the plants.
- PPM: 1,050
- pH: 5.8

The girls are growing quite fast. Some roots made their appearance on the bottom of the pots this morning. Currently, the girls each receive about a quart of nutrients per nutrient flooding. With their schedule, it means both plants receive about five quarts in one day.

Roots are unstoppable as more made their way through the bottom of the pots. The THC Snow is easy to observe in a matter of few days as they expand horizontally. Of course, Ntmaremach wishes they grow taller but for now, he is satisfied with it.

Ntmaremach is eager to top these little ones. However, he wants it to grow taller first which does not seem to happen over the past couple of days.
- PPM: 1,090
- pH: lower than usual
- Temperature: 80°F
- RH (Relative Humidity): 40 to 45%
2018-01-30
As the leaves fill out the perimeter of the pots, the worried grower cannot help but pray for them to grow a little taller.
- PPM: 1,070
- pH: 5.8
- Temperature: 66°F

Day 25 of vegetation and the THC Snow sill have not been able to reach Ntmaremach’s target height for topping.
2018-02-07
PPM rose to 1,230 a couple of days back and so far, Ntmaremach has no luck in lowering it back down yet. On a happy note, the pH remained consistent at 5.8.

Finally, the THC Snows grew tall enough to be topped. Here is what they look like prior to topping:
And then, here they are after cutting with a few clones in a small aeroponics system:
Flowering Phase
2018-02-17
After successfully vegging the ladies for 38 days, Ntmaremach thought it is about time they move into the flowering tent. It is important that they transition slowly, and for these THC Snow plants, it will happen for a week. Gradually, the ballast will increase to 100% as they are only at 50% right now. Although, they would begin working in 12/12 schedule.
