5 Dankest Spots for Cannabis Tourists in the US

We’re smack in the middle of winter, and I don’t know about you, but I’m getting pretty tired of it. I’m about ready to take a vacation. Well, i would if I wasn’t in the middle of midterms with spring break still a month away. If I were taking a vacation soon, I would hit up one of these hot spots for cannabis tourists.

Oregon Coast

If I were going on a vacation, the first place I would go would be the coast. I’m sorry California, but, the prettiest coastline in the country belongs to Oregon. If you’ve never been to the Oregon coast, then you should stop whatever you’re doing, pack up, and leave now! Well, don’t do it exactly like that. Make sure you have some actual, you know, plans before you go running off. Seriously though, the Oregon coast is to die for. Start from the bottom and work your way up to Astoria, or vice versa. Also, Oregon is one of those magical recreational states, so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding your, ahem, provisions.

California Wine Country

Now that recreational weed is legal in California, you will certainly want to make this your next stop. If you started from the top of the Oregon coast and worked your way down, then it should be pretty convenient to make your way into California wine country, aka northern California. Wine Country is also quickly becoming Weed Country, as former wineries are being bought up by growers and the state’s Emerald Triangle begins to expand ever wider into the state. Did we mention that recreational weed is legal there now?

Anchorage, Alaska

I don’t know about you, but I’ve always wanted to visit Alaska, and Anchorage seems like a great place to start, especially for cannabis tourists. The city is not too remote, but it still allows you all the opportunities you could ever want to go on various wildlife excursions. That all depends of course on what time of year you head there. The best time of year to go is obviously early summer, so you can enjoy some hiking, kayaking, take a rail tour, and of course, cannabis is legal there, so you can smoke up too!

Vancouver, BC

This next spot for cannabis tourists is outside of the US, which, if you ask me is a pretty fine place to be. Recreational weed will be legal in Canada starting this July. I imagine that would be the perfect time to take a trip to Vancouver, British Columbia. BC is one of the most beautiful provinces in all of Canada, and certainly one of the most scenic places in North America. Take a friend, pack a pipe, and go for it!

Colorado Mountains

Of course we could not leave Colorado out of this list! The state was the first to legalize recreational cannabis, so naturally it’s still a hotspot for cannabis tourists. I think though that you should avoid the metropolitan areas like Denver or Colorado Springs. What you want to do is head up to the scenic beauty of the Colorado mountains. Get away from all the people and just enjoy nature as it should be, with your favorite plant.
