Indoor growers love combining multiple strains into one grow. By growing multiple types of cannabis at once, they can have a greater yield and bud variety to choose from once the harvest is done.
When growing multiple types of cannabis at once, you need to consider the following factors:
- Strain height and overall growth speed – Each marijuana strain has a different growth speed from the other even when cultivated in the same environment. Always consider their heights and growth speed to avoid running into problems regarding the available space.
- Duration of the flowering stage – The rate of maturation of each bud will vary. Consider this to avoid a disorganized harvest season.
- Marijuana plants’ access to light – It’s extremely difficult for the plants to receive the exact same amount of light but still, do your best to maximize the light penetrating through the main bud sites.
- Physical access to all the plants – When the plants are grouped together inside a small grow tent, it may be challenging to reach the plants at the back. This can make training, diagnosis, and even watering difficult. Make sure you have access points to be able to manipulate each plant to the maximum.
March 29th
The grow process started with 12 different seeds. All of them belong to the Jack feminized strain. Other equipment used for this cultivation include:
- Lighting – Amare Technologies SE450UVB
- Tent – Gorilla Tent 4 x 4
- Media – 12 x 1-gallon pots with cooked soil
After filling the 1-gallon pots with cooked soil, the seeds were planted. Now it’s just a waiting game.
Temperatures are currently running between 69 and 79 degrees F. Humidity is 55 to 63%.
April 10th
Not much going on but 9 of the 12 seeds spouted from the soil. The one in the center is about 5 days behind the rest.

Another week has gone by and the ladies have just gone and grew more sets of leaves. They haven’t been receiving anything special other than some light misting.
April 27th
Here they are fresh from watering. To prevent overwatering, they’re left alone to wilt. The light was also raised to reduce the heat that’s getting to them.
You can’t see it on the photos above but the roots are visible through the holes in the bottom of every pot.

Today, these young ladies were transferred to their new homes – 8-gallin pots! Keeping a wide gap between each watering period did great for each plant because it helped them develop great root systems which are constantly seeking water.
And here are a few random pics of the ladies having fun in their new permanent homes. The plan is to keep these ladies in these pots until harvest day.
