This grow journal picks up a few weeks into the latest grow and starts with four different plants: Lemon Haze, Bubble Gum, Gorilla Glue, and Girl Scout Cookie.
Lemon Haze is a representation of the sativa strain. It’s grown more successfully in warmer, sunnier climates. It can thrive in indoor settings as long as it gets lots of light. It’s resistant to common pests and molds thus making it an ideal plant for newbie growers. This plant can produce 15 ounces of weed per square meter and can take anywhere between 7 to 9 weeks to flower.
Bubblegum strain is a blend of 50% sativa and 50% indica. Even novice growers will find this is an easy strain to cultivate however, it is quite sensitive to rot and molds. Bubblegum cannabis can yield about 16 ounces of usable marijuana in 8 to 9 weeks. This cannabis needs to stay in a dry, warm environment and receive a lot of sunshine to flourish.
Gorilla Glue is from a family of heavy-hitting weed and is more sedative than its relatives. This plant needs proper and regular trimming but it’s still fairly easy to grow as long as it’s kept away from danger of frost or too much rain. It can yield 18 ounces of bud per square meter with 8 to 9 weeks of flower.
Finally, the Girl Scout Cookies is a hybrid cannabis. GSC is known for its power and flavor but it’s a relatively low yielder – this is perfect for growers seeking quality over quantity. When grown in cooler settings, GSC’s sturdy branches become dense with purplish buds. This all-round resistant strain grows well in both soil and hydro, spending 9 to 10 weeks in flowering time.

The plants are looking great and this is a mix of autos and photoperiod plants. Check out an old group photo below when they were only a few days old. The Lemon Haze is on the right. Girl Scout Cookie is the tall one in the middle. Gorilla Glue is the one on the left and the Bubblegum is the lone plant in the foreground.
The Gorilla Glue is actually the oldest of the bunch but had a mishap as a seedling and snapped in half. Not wanting to throw a $10 seed, it was cut like a clone, dipped in clonex, and it rooted after 2 days. Here are the photos proving of bringing a seedling back to life.
Here’s a top view of the Lemon Haze. You can see she already put out plenty of new sets of leaves.
However, it wasn’t so smooth-sailing for the Lemon Haze. She was burnt back when she was a seedling and took a while to get back on track. This is what she looked like in the beginning.

Here are some of the latest photos of the plants in this grow.
First up is the Bubblegum. She’s tall but a little thinner compared to the others.
The Girl Scout Cookie is thriving.
Gorilla Glue is a frontrunner among her sisters.
And rounding up this update is the Lemon Haze.

Rearranged and expanded the room a bit today. The grow room is supplemented with a trusty 150W HPS shining exclusively on the GSC so she has her very own light.
Gorilla Glue was taken out of the AeroGarden and put into her own container just in time because she’s showing signs of flowering and will start her own stretch soon. Hopefully she can catch up with the GSC.
Finally, after adding some Mylar, the room became so much brighter. Notice the containers were staggered so each plant has a bit more space and they will be spread out some more as they get bigger.

Did a bit of maintenance to the girls. Topped and defoliated Lemon Haze and Bubblegum so they will soon be bushes. Bubblegum was a bit behind the Lemon Haze so she’s a bit smaller. GSC auto is filling out a bit and may be better. She sure looks and smells good.

Here’s the current star of the grow for now. This Lemon Haze is showing up her sisters

UPS finally showed up with some long-awaited goodies. The lights are finally being upgraded to a 600W digital switchable light. Heat became an issue the first night. The plants didn’t seem to like it and GSC has a bit of scorching since she was closest to the heat.
Had to readjust the setup by replacing it with an MH bulb, and by installing a cool tube. Already have a 4-inch inline fan and carbon filter ready to go. Just need 6 to 4 reducers.
Here are some photos of the new brightness.
