In last 40 years or so, the country has collectively experienced major reforms in connection with cannabis. From first legislation to decriminalize the strain in Oregon in the early 70s to today’s burgeoning cannabis scene in the country, it now looks pretty imminent that cannabis will be legalized all across the country in next 10 to 15 years.
However, there are characters like Jeff Sessions whose regressive approach towards the strain put barriers on the path of progress. In the long run, however, the beliefs of incumbent Attorney General will fall short. Let’s see why.

Cannabis has already been legalized in eight states for its recreational use. Moreover, 30 states and the District of Colombia have their own medical marijuana programs. Aside from that, many lawmakers and activist groups in non-legal states are striving for the legalization of marijuana in their respective jurisdictions. It shows that a momentum for the legalization of cannabis has been built all across the country. Moreover, citizens are demanding for more state autonomy under the 10th amendment. So, eventually, the role of federal administrative bodies will also diminish in state affairs.
